Sabato 20 agosto 2022 ha avuto inizio la trentanovesima edizione del Festival Internazionale della Chitarra di Lagonegro (Potenza) con il concerto di Bianca Szalaty. L’evento si è tenuto a Palazzo Corrado, organizzato dall’Associazione “Amici della Musica del Lagonegrese”. La chitarrista polacca vincitrice di numerosi concorsi internazionali, tra cui il primo premio alla X edizione della J.S. Bach International Guitar Competition di Tokyo, è approdata a Lagonegro dopo i festival internazionali di Mosca, Brno e Copenhagen. Il suo repertorio per chitarra classica spazia dalla musica di John Dowland e J.S. Bach, fino ai moderni Leo Brouwer, Stephen Dodgson e Peteris Vasks.
The 39th edition of the International Guitar Festival of Lagonegro (Potenza) began on Saturday 20 August 2022 with a concert by Bianca Szalaty. The event was held in Palazzo Corrado, organized by the “Amici della Musica del Lagonegrese” Association. The Polish guitarist, winner of numerous international competitions, including the first prize at the X edition of the J.S. Bach International Guitar Competition in Tokyo, arrived in Lagonegro after the international festivals of Moscow, Brno and Copenhagen. Her repertoire for classical guitar ranges from the music of John Dowland and J.S. Bach, up to the modern Leo Brouwer, Stephen Dodgson and Peteris Vasks.
Domenica 4 dicembre 2022 il pianista Raffaele Battiloro ha suonato Mozart, Liszt e Franck. L’appuntamento si è tenuto al MULA+ Museo di Latronico (Potenza) per la rassegna “La grande musica tra innovazione e tradizione”. Il concerto è stato organizzato dall’Associazione Amici della Musica del Lagonegrese. Raffaele Battiloro, classe 1999, è un grande talento che si è formato al Conservatorio “Carlo Gesualdo da Venosa” di Potenza, sotto la guida del Maestro Michele D’Ambrosio, dove è stato ammesso all’età di soli 7 anni e dove si è diplomato col massimo dei voti, la lode e la menzione d’onore. Ha scoperto l’amore per la musica e in particolare per il pianoforte da piccolissimo, ricevendo la prima lezione a quattro anni. Raffaele ha studiato sotto la guida di importanti Maestri, da Riccardo Risaliti e Dominique Merlet a William Grant Naboré e Alessandro Deljavan. Il giovane pianista si è affermato in numerose competizioni in Italia e all’estero. Ha ricevuto il “Premio Alkan” (2017) per il virtuosismo e la Golden Medal al “Berliner International Music Competition”. Nel 2021 è stato finalista del Concorso Pianistico “Ferruccio Busoni” di Bolzano e nel 2022 al Concorso Pianistico Alessandro Casagrande. Si è esibito in Italia e all’estero in qualità di solista, in formazioni cameristiche e con importanti orchestre, tra cui la Filarmonica di Lviv, Ucraina. Attualmente sta lavorando ad un progetto di integrale delle Sonate di Domenico Scarlatti, di cui inciderà 37 Sonate per la OnClassical.
On Sunday 4th December 2022 the pianist Raffaele Battiloro played Mozart, Liszt and Franck. The concert was held at the MULA+ Museum of Latronico in Basilicata for the festival “Great music between innovation and tradition”. The concert has been organized by the Amici della Musica del Lagonegrese Association. Raffaele Battiloro, born in 1999, is a great talent who trained at the “Carlo Gesualdo da Venosa” Conservatory of Music in Potenza, under the guidance of Maestro Michele D’ Ambrosio, where he was admitted at the age of only 7 and where he graduated with honors and honorable mention. He discovered his love for music and in particular for the piano at a very young age, receiving his first lesson at the age of four. Raffaele studied under the guidance of important Maestri, from Riccardo Risaliti and Dominique Merlet to William Grant Naboré and Alessandro Deljavan. The young pianist has perfomed at numerous competitions in Italy and abroad. He received the “Premio Alkan” (2017) for virtuosity and the Golden Medal at the “Berliner International Music Competition”. In 2021 he was a finalist at the “Ferruccio Busoni” Piano Competition in Bolzano and in 2022 at the Alessandro Casagrande Piano Competition. He performed in Italy and abroad as a soloist, in chamber ensembles and with important orchestras, including the Lviv Philharmonic, Ukraine. He is currently working on a complete project of Domenico Scarlatti’s Sonatas, of which he will record 37 Sonatas for the OnClassical.
